Why I built this
I'm Paul, the founder of Your Heritage Research. I do this work as a passion project because I saw how connecting it was for me with my aging grandparents, and I love creating the same experience for other families too.
I have a full time job outside of this work where I build AI assisted workflows for a private equity company.
I use my knowledge of AI workflows and research to deliver a family tree for you, just like I originally did for myself, at a speed and cost no one else can do.
How it works
- You book a free 30 minute call. No cost, no commitment. We talk through what you want to know about your family and design a research plan around it.
- You talk to the person doing the research. The same researcher from your first message to your last evidence packet.
- You decide whether to go ahead. Nothing is charged unless you do.
- We do the research. Real hours against archives, records, newspapers and full text search, cited as the work happens.
- You watch it happen. People, sources and status, updated as they are found. Check it whenever you want.
- You keep all of it. Every document, citation and record comes back to you as shared files, yours to keep and store however you like.

If something needs rechecking, we tell you why before we do it. Every update separates what is new, what changed, and what you already had.

Questions
How is this different from doing it myself?
Not the tools. We use the same databases you would: the major genealogy sites, archives, newspapers.
The difference is how much ground gets covered. A search that would take you a month of scattered evenings around everything else in life happens here in a fraction of that, and it keeps happening every week rather than whenever you find the time.

You get your money back.
Nobody can promise what is sitting in an archive before someone opens it. What I can promise is this: if you are not happy with what you get, you do not pay for it.
AI disclosureIs this AI-generated?
Yes. AI does the research work, at a speed and scale no person could match by hand. Nobody could search, cross reference, and draft at this pace alone.
What makes the difference is who is running it. I check what the AI produces against the sources, and I take responsibility for the accuracy, the citations, and everything that reaches you.
When do I pay?
Nothing upfront. The consultation is free and commits you to nothing. If you decide to move forward afterward, that is when the first payment happens, not before.
What do I have at the end?
Everything. The dashboard itself, as a file you keep, plus every source document, every citation, and every research log.
It is yours to keep, store, and use however you want, including building out your own tree on whichever site you use, or handing it to whoever in your family wants it next.
I'm not sure which line of my family I even want researched. Is that a problem?
No. That is what the first call is for. We talk through what you already know and what you are curious about, and pick a starting line together.
If you later want a second line researched, that is a separate line rather than splitting attention on the first. One line at a time is how the work stays thorough.
What happens when I want to cancel?
Tell me and it stops. The plan runs three months, roughly the time a thorough first pass takes, but if you are not satisfied after month one you can stop there. You will not owe anything further, and you only ever pay for months actually delivered.
At the end of three months we talk through what makes sense next: continuing the same line, starting a new one, or stopping there with everything you have.
PrivacyWhat happens to my family's information?
Nothing about your family is published, shared, or used outside your engagement without your explicit permission. Living relatives are not included in anything published.
I also never ask for or accept your login for any genealogy site, or any other account credentials.
